HEADROPS

Begins in the summer 1993, from the union of different bands from Parma, Italy. In spring 1994 they recorded their first demotape "Strani Insetti", which sold out of 600 copies and recieved several good reviews from Italian magazines.
Sounds and atmosphere were then inspired by the 80's new wave and dark, with Cure and Bauhaus connections, combined together with other different influences from 5 band's elements (from punk to dark, to wave and psycheledia).
In 1995 the first line-up changes both the two original guitar players left the band and Riccardo Mattioli came in.
At the end of the summer singer Alessandro Tellini travelled to England and stayed there for over a year. During his absence, the other members of the band started recording the second demo, "In Fiamme".
The 1997 pause convinced the band to choose one more precise direction Gothic Rock, with, as most noticeable models, bands like Rosetta Stone, The Sisters of Mercy and a bit of Cranes. Due to this decision, the bass player Simone Toscani left the band and Davide Mazza (who originally played the drums) switches the bass forming actual line-up with three elements and a digital sequencer

EMPYREAN

Empyrean was formed in late 1990 by Neil and Shaun. The concept behind EMPYREAN was to be more than just 'a band', in the normal sense, as in four or five competing individuals up on stage and, more or less accidentally, playing together. Instead EMPYREAN was to be what can only be described as a 'story', which wouldn surround both the members of the band and the music they created, forming a complete entity in its own right.
Originally, Neil and Shaun had intended EMPYREAN to be a five-piece project but, as can happen only too often in creative situations. In 1994 Neil left the band before they released the album. This was due to differences in musical opinion regarding the general direction of the band's future and he was replaced by Dave Raddon (ex-His Last Parade)

"Into the Heaven of Heavens I have presumed

an Earthly guest, and drawn Empyreal air...

Divine interpreter! by favour sent

Down from the Empyrean, to forewarn

Us tiniely of what might else have been our loss..."
